The Eritrean government that had remained silent even regarding the identity of the hundreds of Eritreans who died while emigrating to Italy last week, has agreed to receive the bodies of the deceased Eritreans from Italy and hold an official funeral.

According to an Eritrean opposition Website, the letter came out of the Eritrean Embassy in Italy.
